Yes, we've finally started to study watercolor at the office again. Only 2-3 person unfortunately...

This time we're trying to experiment one subject at a time. The first subject was "rose"...

I'm exhausted

After 2 months of non-stop working, this weekend, I'm finally at home, resting. Yesterday I was busy with cleaning, washing, etc. But this morning I got up with a smile on my face, knowing that whole day is mine, all mine... I put myself a cup of tea and visited the my favorite watercolor blogs which I couldn't lately, and realized that how much I missed my watercolors and brushes. Hope to have more time to paint from now on.

Have a great lazy sunday! :D

It has been a long time since my last post. I feel tired lately and I don't want to do anything. But I didn't want to miss the "Different Strokes from Different Folks Challange" of Karin Jurick's... So here is my attempt. I hope I wasn't late...

Another failure... Too 2 dimensional... I must add more contrast to this little girl...

I'm not very happy with this one. It's so 2 dimensional. No values...

I'm back...

Days pass so quickly in holiday. After 4 short days full of sunshine, sea and laziness, I'm here, front of my computer again. I couldn't post earlier because I was too busy with arranging things at home, getting used to work and passing the time with Missy and Vito. I was busy at Bodrum too. Every morning I got up with the sun, enjoyed the serenity of the nature and painted. Here is what I've done...

Taking a break

After two weeks of non-stop hard working, finally I'll have a break. I'm leaving for Bodrum this weekend... not much, just for 4 days but I'll enjoy every minute of it. I'll swim, sleep, relax... and I hope I will paint and turn with lots of works to blog :)

Thank you for stopping by...

Watercolor Class VI

Watercolor, 17x12 cm

This time we tried rocks from mind. It was a real challenge developing rocks from some paint spots. First I was frustrated and then I really started to see the rocks and some grass little bit here and there. And from that moment it was fun adding some shadows, cracks, details, etc. Unfortunately it had to be a short session. But it's a great pleasure to say that we've started with 6, but now we're 9 and a half (one of us is only 5 years old and of course she paints princesses, butterflies, more beautiful and interesting things than we do :D )

This blog turns to a weekly diary . Although I upload photos once or twice a week, I keep studying watercolor whenever I can. Watercolor class at the office helps a lot. Thanks to our talented teacher, I'm learning to be more free... not to control the paints too much, and letting them to create surprises... not to be scared of messing things up... I'm not trying to create a "capolavoro", just painting and having lots of fun :)

Watercolor class at the office

We've organized a watercolor class at the office. Two days a week, after work, we meet around a big table and our talented illustrator friend teaches us watercolor basics. It's really fun, being with friends and doing something colorful. In the first lesson we just mixed the colors and got in the mood :) In the second one, we tried basic shapes, volume, light and shadow ... and a leaf. I've left my paper at the office, but at home I tried another leaf. What I've done with watercolor class, I'll upload them later. Tomorrow, the third lesson... I can't wait :)

No time for nothing...

Last week we worked on a residence project-including saturday and sunday-. Monday was the first step of the submission. And today we've moved the office-we actually carried things, so I'm really tired-. Tomorrow morning I'm going to the new place; comings and goings will take me 2 hours a day. And I think I'll work also this weekend, because monday is the last step of the submission...

After all these excuses... I couldn't paint or draw anything... :P

Here is a small watercolor study that I did few months ago...

Hard day at work... I couldn't draw, paint, even breath... This video always makes me smile. It's made almost a year ago. One day one little kitten came under the our balcony, she was so desperate. Now she is a real witch :D Have fun!
